It is so important to a tour consultant to have all the specifics of a tourism product, especially selling to high-end guests. They feel you need to give them accurate information and have a comparative advantage of the options you are laying before them. For example room types – how big in sqm, exclusion, and inclusions staying at certain lodges, transfer timings extra with accuracy and relevancy
2. Build a personal relationship with your clients.
Selling luxury tours be it to agents or to your guests directly you must have built a personal relationship, they must be knowing you and how you offer services. Building relationships with agents can be from trade show meetings, FAM trip invitations to sample your services
3. Learn More.
Learning more about tourism experiences, tastes and preferences, market complexity and dynamics name is a key principle to selling Luxury tours. We all know every day is a learning day, be able to discover new products, and be creative and innovative in your product mix. Think of exciting and life-changing itineraries, that do not offer the normal tourist track, and offer more local people interaction experience with your Gorilla trekking safaris for example
4. Tap into the luxury market agent base.
The partnership is key here. Who is your partner in the source market? Think of partnering with high-end luxury travel dealers to be able to start selling luxury tours.
